Honeybirthentines vacation
In a couple hours Ben and I depart for Victoria. We are taking a 1.5 hour bus ride to the Tsawwassen terminal, a 1.5 hour ride on the ferry to the island, and a 1.5 hour bus trip to our hostel in Victoria. The things we do to not have a car...The hostel looks super cute from the website so I'm hoping it will live up to expectations. It features a lot of extremely tiny private rooms, unlike traditional hostels. Also it looks all wonky from the outside, which is always a bonus, right?
My cousin told me last year that late Feb. is a good time to visit Victoria, since they are a couple weeks closer to spring than we are here. I hope to spend a lot of time wandering around outside and going into ecstasies over flowers, of which I hope there will be some. Even if the threatened rain comes to pass, I'm still pretty excited about time off. I have only had 5 vacation days since I started at my current job 13 months ago. It's 7:09am and I don't have to be rushing around ready to leave! I might see the sun today!
