Some things compiled into a list form for no reason other than that I like to be tidy.

1)I just finished reading Tigana, which is one of my favourite books ever. As usual, I cried buckets, though less than I have in the past. I remember the first time I read the book, at a crucial point near the end when a terrible secret is revealed about one of the characters, I just stopped reading and cried for 10 minutes, despite the fact that I was desperate to find out what happens in the end. As I was saying to missmachismo, there's nothing like rereading a well-remembered book with that comfortable feeling of knowing what happens in the end. I read the last Harry Potter book in less than 6 hours, and I really shouldn't have because the details are already gone from my mind. But I just can't hold myself back when I don't know what is going to happen.

2)People are coming to visit us soon! I am highly excited. Like, jumping up and down in the living room sometimes excited. I anticipate Quiddler! With the visitor who is an English major, at least. The three engineers might not be so keen. Perhaps I can bribe them with pie?

3)My cousin Fiona has the worlds most cutest blog ever, for reals. You should take a peek at it.

I had never heard about Quiddler before, but google is my friend, so now I have some basic knowledge. And I can always be bribed with pie, so I think you have a good case here.

Those same three engineers have had a previous discussion about the mathematical proof that pie is the source of all happiness.

You need not worry..

As for myself, two years in a program about how to shovel BS in a public policy kind of way has improved my lexicon, I think.

Let the games begin!

*bouncebouncebounce* eee.. so excited!!
