I just realized that I have been in Vancouver for exactly 6 months. Almost to the hour, in fact. It is hard to believe that it's been half a year. Right now my life is sort of oozing by in an aimless way, which contributes to my disbelief; back when I was with The Dickens, my regimented schedule allowed the months to march along in a very regimented way.
Also, today it is snowing. Horray! Is it the end of the world? I hear that seven people have died in the UK from the wind blowing things on them. Kait and missmachismo, you be careful, okay?
In conclusion, what would you name your children? I would name mine Evan Merriwe(a)ther and Rose Miranda. Though Rose would be the less favoured child because I'm really not sure about this whole Miranda middle name. I need a name with that syllabic pattern but that is better.

What about Amanda in stead of Miranda? I like Amanda. However, I'm not a big fan of Rose, so I would probably not like that kid's name anyway.
If I was going to have kids (which I'm not) I think I would give them fairly short names. If I had kids in Norway, they would not get any middle names. If I lived in Canada, or any other country where everybody has at least one middle name, I would probably give my kids two names, but still keep them sort of simple.
ROSE MIRANDA! My god, that is dull. COuldn't you at least think of an interesting middle name if you are set on giving the poor child a dull first name? I suppose she might turn out to be an ordinary child, in which case it is an admirable name.

missmachismo: you are not following directions. I did not ask you to insult my names, and I see a total lack of ideas for what you think would make good children's names.
crypto: I considered Amanda, but I'm not crazy about that name; I like Miranda better than it. I have only ever known one Miranda, so I think of it as kind of an unusual one, whereas there are a gajillion Amandas everywhere around here.
Oh pooh! You know perfectly well what sort of names I like for children. I did not see why I should type them out. But here, for girls I like Mnemosyne, Synechode, Ebele, Ceriddwyn, Abeni, Shiori, Eirlys, Anais, Seren, Iqaluit, Anouk and because I am a noodlehead, Tinuviel. For boys I like more normal names I suppose: Metonymy (seriously. I like this),Julian, Bryn, Kofi, Tristan, Ciaran, Amit, Ethan, Aubrey, Peregrine, Espen, and I hate to admit to it, James. But it would be awfully difficult to choose just four of these.

Nonsense! Plenty of those names are ones I have never heard you express a preference for.
